Just because they are having a sale does not mean that they are having problems. A store’s main goal is to get as many customers as possible, and sales attract customers. More customers = more $$$.
And obviously a 50% sale just tells you how much that they have raised the prices, because they would not make a sale where they lost profit on anything.

It’s just a sale Home Depot has sales every other week. Beside 1/2 the products they sell are foreign made. No biggie at all, they are not hurting have you seen the parking lots? Jammed all the time.
Heck last month the Home Depot right near my home had Tony Stewart’s Vegas show car in the parking lot. It was a circus must have been 10,000 folks there. Nobody minded it was a Toyota at all. In fact I am not even a Tony fan and I went just to get my picture taken in the #20.

i wouldnt think so
they can probably afford to knock 50% off now

Even if their sales have dropped off some its because of the slow housing market & the economy right now, I dont think a toyota has much effect on building materials sales.

First, Home Depot did not dump Chevy for Toyota, Joe Gibbs Racing did.
Home Depot has contractual obligations for JGR, not Toyota or Chevy.
Funny, I saw Sears had a sale recently, but they only “sponsor” the Craftsman Truck Series. Does that mean they are trying to make up for losses in the truck series? I think not.
I also think that a lot of the customers there don’t care about the car they sponsor, unless knowing it would get them a discount.

They usually have a big Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sale (I am there almost every weekend.) We are coming out of Summer and into Fall, therefore summer items: plants, flowers, lawn mowers, etc..are on sale. In fall people need rakes, leaf blowers, etc..and Home Depot gets these in abundance at the end of summer, so they put them on sale in additiion.
It has nothing to do do with Toyota or any thing else, except the simple laws of business.

Just because they are having a 50% off sale doesnt mean it has to do with the car manufacturer or the driver……It has nothing to do with Stewart really…..
It happens to be that time of year where buisnesses mark down the inventory they have to make room for the next season and this time of year its time for holiday mechandise. I own my own retail buisness so i know this to be true!!!!
GO HARVICK & RCR!!!!

I, for one, have been going to Lowes ever since they switched.
Also the whole “Toyota’s are made in America” thing holds no water to me.
The other half of the Toyota’s sold in America are built in Japan! Toyota is a Japanese owned company.
I know my DVD player was made in Japan. But A $30,000 or $40,000 dollar automobile has much more of an impact on the economy than a $150 DVD player.
