I just bought a used car and brought it back home. I noticed several things that I asked the sales manager about. The explanations ended up to be false, so he basically lied to me about certain items inside the car. Can I do anything? Please help!
Well for example, I asked him about these spots on the clear plastic piece for the instrument panel. He said it was just from the spray they use for cleaning and it can just be wiped off. I couldn’t get them off at home.
I also bought from an official Infiniti dealer. Does that make any difference?

    Did he put those lies in writing? If he just said them they are not part of a contract and you are another victim of a used car salesman.

    If he did not put it in writing, then it’s just YOUR word against HIS… so you are STUCK…. consider this just another of life’s learning lessons… you will have many more over the years.

    What did he lie about? If he said it had certain features that it doesn’t, you should have noticed it before you bought. If it isn’t in writing, you are stuck. After reading your added comments, I don’t think you have anything to gripe about and you are being really picky. It would make no difference what dealership you bought from. If you are so worried about some spots, take it to an auto detail shop. It is a USED car. It will have some imperfections.

    If the best you can do is complain about a few spots on the dash board I wouldn’t be making a huge issue over him lying.

    Why didn’t you ask them to remove the spots if it just needed to be wiped off?

    The buyer is responsible for making sure everything is correct before taking delivery of the car. If it wasns’t perfect, why did you take delivery.

    Ask him nicely to take care of some of the things you are concerned about, he may try to help you. But, he is not obligated to, you signed for the car and drove it home, it’s yours and you have no recourse unless it’s in writing, which i doubt. Of course hindsight is 20-20, but you should not have accepted the car unless all of your concerns were handled.
